Hello my fellow watchers. I can't remember the last time I made a journal for this account, but I have a feeling you know why I am doing it now. If you aren't aware, deviantArt is now supporting AI generated "artwork". At first this may not seem like such a huge thing to fuss over. But once you learn that AI art is, realistically, only possible by having these AIs go through millions of already human-made artwork and mashing them all together to make whatever the "creator" wants, it becomes clear. AI artwork is solely produced off of the blood, sweat, and tears of artists' years upon years of practice and hard work. In reality, it's nothing but pure art theft; except instead of plagiarizing one artist, it plagiarizes every artist that has ever posted their artwork online. And now, dA has decided to throw its hand in the ring and allow every bit of artwork posted on this particular site to be used for AI art generation. And that's not even all. At first when it was announced, dA made
